Lavenders in Uk is one of the most common and fascinating sightseeing things in summer. Beautiful purple fields fully covered in large area with a nice lavender smell is a great treat for anyone. Most of gardens are family run and they allow public who comes with kids and pets to view. Photographs are allowed in many farms. So, you can enjoy the garden by taking beautiful snaps. Also plus some farms provide catering services.

The best time to visit is early June to end of Auguest when these plants are in bloom. But the peek time is end of June to early July. Although this time vary because of rainfall and heat. Most gardens won’t book tickets in advance. You can pay it at the entrance.
Some gardens allow to picnic time with family. I rate Cotswold lavender farm the best from the ones I visited. Cotswold farm is very relaxing. Even though it is 2hrs drive from London, it totally worth it.

Many gardens are busy during weekends. If you are able, please visit in weekdays. You can enjoy the garden with a much lesser crowd. If you ever visit London or UK in summer please visit one of these gardens. Mayfield lavender gardens is best one you can access with around one hour ride from London. You can take bus ride or train ride. Entrance fee was GBP 4-5.
