Tangalle is one of the gateway to wide open beaches of Sri Lanka. Tangalle is located in the southern part of the country and near to Galle and Mirissa . If you are coming from Colombo and driving a vehicle you can reach Tangalle within 2 hours if you take southern expressway. After you exit from highway and pass the Matara town and Hambantota you can see the beautiful sandy beach with different shades of sea colors and beautiful sightseeing all around there.
You can enjoy with your loved one while watching beautiful sunset in the afternoon. Also one of the best place to have a sea bath while traveling. You can find so many natural beach pools too.
Hotel Experience
As a traveller I’ll explain my personal experience about Tangalle. Last year I visited with my husband to Tangalle. We booked some luxury hotel which name as Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort. I’ll tell you about that amazing hotel experience in my upcoming post. During that time we enjoyed the finest hotel facilities in there.
The hotel had own private beach for hotel guests. The beach was absolutely stunning with white and blue mix waves. The beach was everything you looking for peace and calm. Surly you will enjoy lot over there.
Best way to get around in Tangalle
As usual we wanted to explore this beautiful village called, Tangalle. So we rent a scooter and ride everywhere to explore more. Scooter is the best option and the easiest way to avoid traffic. My hubby is the best when driving a scooter. Most important thing to note down is many roads which lead to beaches are very narrow. Therefore the best option is to go by scoot or by foot. So, we chose the scooter instead our own vehicle.

Along the way in Tangalle
While exploring, we saw many foreigners in the beach area enjoying with their loved ones. It surely is awesome to stay here and enjoy such wonderful landscapes every day.
We stayed 3 days in Tangalle and enjoyed a lot. We did a lot of beach activities. If you are a 1st time traveler in Sri Lanka never forget to travel to down south area. The experience is very worthy and you’ll be able to achieve your travel goals and memories.
Beware of people around you
When you are in a different country safety is the most important thing you need to give number one priority. So when you are in Sri Lanka you can get travel information from Sri Lanka airport and your hotel. They will help you to find the most suitable packages for you. Please don’t believe in people who follow you with cheap packages without proper travel identity. Because some will try to cheat you when they know that you are a foreigner. But many Sri Lankans are kind and helpful people. In conclusion be careful and enjoy to the fullest.
