Bus from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | Border Crossing

Posted on March 23, 2020May 21, 2020 by Thamara

On our journey to Malaysia, we planned our tour to go by bus. Bus from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur is flexible way to go. Traveling by land, is not as tough as I thought earlier. Bus ride to KL is very inexpensive, when you compare with the airfare.

We booked our bus from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur with Transtar travel and tours. They helped us to find the most suitable package. Before your purchase your ticket, check the travel dates, arrival and departure time of both countries. Both of us wanted to go day tour ride from bus. So, we booked the day tour bus. That was little bit expensive than night tour ride. Important thing was we matched our arrival and departure time with hotel check-in and check-out times. We managed to find the most suitable ride for our 3 day tour.

As I mentioned the earlier, traveling from bus is much cheaper than taking flight. Travel fare by flight from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur sometimes is very expensive. Another thing is if you want to add more luggage, you have to pay extra for that. Even though duration wise it will save you much time. But for a cheaper way you should be taking the bus to bus eliminate all those additional expenses that you have to pay.

How to get Singapore to Kuala Lumpur ?

Bus ride from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur is about 30USD. The price depends on the bus company you select. The bus amenities vary from each other as some buses are very luxuries and some are standard. Border Crossing

Border Crossing is not easy and quick as the Changi Airport. When you arrive at border, you must carry your personal belongings with you and have to go straight to immigration officer to stamp the passport. After stamping you must have to go to your bus. This will take little bit of your time. If you or someone else is delayed for immigration checking, don’t worry your bus will wait for you.

I took Following pictures when we passing the immigration point in Singapore.

Where can I take a Bus from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur ?

Most of Buses are operated from Golden mile complex. It is one of the largest shopping malls of Singapore. It’s located in little India near Arab street. You’ll be able to see many bus travel agencies inside the mall. You can buy tickets, change tickets or know more information about journey from these travel agencies.

Another way is to buy tickets is from the HarbourFront center. It’s located near Sentosa gateway. They operate luxury buses. So, if you want to go to KL in a comfortable manner, I personally recommend you to buy tickets from this place. You’ll be able to find Aeroline luxury buses from there.

Here are the pictures inside the bus.
